The St. Petersburg Baseball Commission is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to foster local, national and international baseball and sports competition utilizing historic Al Lang Field and the Walter Fuller Baseball Complex in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida.

Independent League Prospect Spring Training Tournament The tournament puts the best prospects of different Independent Minor Leagues against each other in a nine game round robin format with a title game to take place at 12pm on March 4. The tournament will include nine out of Baseball America's "Top Ten Indy Pro Prospect" list and is made up of prospects from the North American League, Can-Am League, Frontier League, and the American Association. There have been 164 Major League players who have played in Independent Leagues since 1993. Players like JD Drew, Kevin Millar, and Max Scherzer got their start in Independent League Baseball. The fans of Saint Petersburg will be treated to great talent and a glimpse of future Major Leaguers.
